Praise the Lord—we started strong this year with our first CRC event in February! We've consistently had around 60 participants at each gathering, including many new families. Our WeChat group has been growing, with more parents asking to join future CRC events. We’ve also launched a vocational subcommittee and a creative team to provide more volunteer opportunities and foster learning and collaboration.
What We Have Done:
February:
Dr. Mei-Hua led a powerful workshop on “How to Use ABA When Kids Have Behavioral Issues at Home.”
We also held a discussion session with parents to share their hopes and expectations for their children in 2025, categorized by age group.

March:
We welcomed Agnes, a professional counselor, who gave an excellent presentation on IDEA, IEP/504 Plans, Parent Rights, and DDS services. Parents were highly engaged and grateful to learn how to better advocate for their children under federal law.

April:
More parents continued to join our regular CRC gatherings, sharing personal stories and supporting one another.

May:
Speakers from Joni and Friends and Dr. Mei-Hua hosted a volunteer training focused on connecting with teens and engaging individuals with special needs.

June:
Janice Chow, a registered dietitian, held an online workshop on nutrition strategies for children on the autism spectrum—a practical and informative session!

What We’re Working On:
Planning our Annual CRC BBQ for July or August
Building partnerships with Bank of America and other Chinese community nonprofits
Recruiting new talents for our subcommittees and creative team
Seeking an accounting expert and exploring new fiscal sponsorship opportunities
