CRC Sep to Dec 2024 Updates

Belated Happy Lunar New Year. Hope this email finds you all well and I cannot wait to see you at CRC in 2025!!

Praise the Lord, we have so many opportunities in 2024 to engage with volunteers and families together and to have new activities and visiting tours to the large corporation for them needed!

In Sep, we had a workshop for volunteers about music therapy. During dinner time, we also had a session to show our appreciation to our volunteers! We made a video by gathering all the short videos from the kids. Thank you for parents’ help to send us those videos with kids saying “THANY YOU” in different ways! I felt so warm when I saw those kids are so active and happy to say thank you. I also want to show my appreciation again to all the volunteers. WITHOUT YOU, CRC could not have been so smooth and so successful in 2024!!

In Oct, We invited Agnes Man again, the professional counselor, to provide a workshop about social and communication learning to parents. PTL! We have so many new parents to join that we have to recruit more helpers at the last moment. Finally everything was so smooth and parents were so proactive to listen and ask questions!

In Dec, we had our very first Christmas party with all the leaders! We gathered in my house, eating and playing games. It was so fun!!

We have a visiting tour to my employer, Bank of America, which has a department to recruit employees with disabilities. Parents were again so proactive and excited to ask questions. They had a 1 on 1 pairing session for parents and kids to shadow with the employees and understand their job routines! Finally we had a group picture in front of the banking center downstairs. It means a lot to me to work with an employer that supports CRC so much in terms of donation and job opportunities!
