CRC’s September 2026 Anniversary: Celebrating the People Behind Our Mission
September 2026 | Chinatown Respite Care
Every September is a special time for CRC. It is a month to celebrate our anniversary, reflect on our journey, and most importantly, express our heartfelt appreciation to the people who have made our work possible.
Over the years, CRC has remained committed to supporting Chinese families. Through our programs and activities, we strive to create opportunities for children to learn, grow, build confidence, and develop meaningful relationships, while providing their families with care, understanding, and support.
But none of this would have been possible without the dedication, generosity, and commitment of our leaders, teachers, and volunteers.

CRC is where it is today because of the people who have believed in our mission and continued to stand alongside us throughout the years.
A Special Month to Say Thank You

This September, CRC organized a special appreciation event to recognize our leaders, teachers, and volunteers for their contributions over the years.
For us, this was more than an anniversary celebration. It was an opportunity to recognize the countless hours, effort, and love that so many individuals have given to our children and families.
Volunteering at CRC is about much more than simply participating in an activity.
Behind every classroom session and community event are people who spend time preparing, organizing, coordinating, and making sure our children and families feel supported and welcomed.
Working with children often requires additional patience, understanding, and consistency. Building trust and meaningful relationships can take time, and progress does not always happen quickly.
Sometimes, even a small step forward may come after many attempts, moments of encouragement, and patient interactions.
Our teachers and volunteers understand this. Their willingness to continue showing up, offering encouragement, and building relationships makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our children.
These everyday acts of kindness and commitment are what make CRC special.
Honoring Our Longtime Leaders and Teachers
In addition to our anniversary appreciation event, CRC also hosted a special appreciation dinner with our longtime leaders and teachers.
The dinner was an opportunity to spend time together, reflect on our shared journey, and personally thank those who have remained committed to CRC over the years.
Many of these individuals have contributed far beyond what families may see during our regular programs.
From planning activities and developing lessons to coordinating volunteers, communicating with parents, and responding to unexpected challenges, their contributions require tremendous dedication and responsibility.
Despite their own professional, personal, and family commitments, they continue to make time to serve our community.
We recognize that this level of long-term commitment is never something we should take for granted.
These leaders and teachers have not only witnessed CRC's growth but have also played an essential role in shaping the organization we are today.
An organization may begin with a vision, but it takes a group of committed people to keep that vision alive year after year.
We are deeply grateful to have such individuals as part of the CRC family.
The Power of Long-Term Commitment
Through our years of service, we have learned that supporting children and their families is not something that can be accomplished through a single event or program.
Every child has unique abilities, personalities, and developmental needs. Every family also faces its own challenges and experiences. Meaningful relationships take time to develop. Some children may need many interactions before feeling comfortable with a new volunteer. Some parents may need time before they feel ready to share their experiences and build trust.
That is why consistency and long-term commitment are so important to CRC.
When familiar teachers and volunteers continue returning, children can develop a sense of comfort, security, and belonging. Parents can also feel reassured knowing that there are people who genuinely care about their families.
Over time, these relationships become much more than connections formed during monthly activities. They become a source of encouragement, friendship, and mutual support.
Meaningful change does not always come from one extraordinary moment. Often, it grows through years of patience, kindness, and simply being there for one another.
CRC's Success Belongs to Everyone
As we reflect on CRC's journey, we are reminded that every achievement has been the result of a collective effort.
Our teachers dedicate their time and creativity to developing meaningful learning experiences for the children.
Our leaders provide guidance, coordination, and support to keep our programs running.
Our volunteers bring energy, patience, and compassion to every interaction with the children and families.
And our parents and families continue to place their trust in CRC, encouraging us to learn, improve, and grow.
Every contribution matters, whether it happens in front of everyone or quietly behind the scenes.
CRC has never been the work of just one person.
It is a community built by people who share a belief that every child deserves opportunities to grow and every family deserves care and support.
Moving Forward With Gratitude
An anniversary is not only an opportunity to celebrate what we have accomplished. It is also a reminder of why we began this journey and why our mission continues to matter.
Over the years, we have witnessed children grow, friendships develop, and families find encouragement through the CRC community.
We know there will always be new challenges and opportunities to improve. But we also know that with the continued support of our dedicated leaders, teachers, volunteers, and families, CRC can continue making a meaningful difference.
As we celebrate another anniversary, we want to express our deepest appreciation to everyone who has contributed to CRC, both past and present.
Thank you for your time, your patience, your kindness, and your commitment.
Thank you for choosing to serve others, even while balancing the many responsibilities in your own lives.
And most importantly, thank you for believing in CRC's mission and helping us carry it forward.
CRC's story is not simply about how many families we have served. It is about the people who have chosen to give their time, share their compassion, and become a source of support in the lives of others.
To every leader, teacher, volunteer, and supporter who has walked alongside us: thank you. CRC would not be where it is today without you.
